Joshua is a Washington State native, raised in the Tacoma area. After graduating from the University of Washington, he earned his MBA at Jacksonville University and completed his law degree at Florida Coastal School of Law. Joshua has practiced as an attorney with the Washington State Bar Association since 2015.

Community involvement in the South Sound region is important to Joshua and he finds time to give back through his volunteer work at the Pierce County Center for Dialog and Resolution where he is a member of the Board of Directors. This organization is committed to the resolution of disputes outside of a courtroom setting and offers a sliding scale rate for people who qualify. He is a member of the Puyallup Tribal Bar, Tulalip Tribal Bar, South King County Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and the President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association. Prior to COVID-19, he oversaw the TPCBA Casino Night fundraiser, which is on hold for now. Joshua also serves on the Board of Directors of the Tacoma Urban League which is an organization that is devoted to empowering African Americans and other disenfranchised groups to enter the economic and social mainstream. He is a barrister member of American Inns of Court and he is dedicated to promoting the highest levels of professionalism in the practice of law.

As the managing partner at Brumley Law Firm, Joshua works daily to ensure that our team delivers the most professional and supportive legal services in Western Washington. This dedication is among the many reasons his peers recently recognized him in the select group of Rising Stars of the 2020 Super Lawyers survey.

In his free time, Joshua enjoys skateboarding, playing bass guitar and spending time at the dog park with his Goldendoodle, Gilbert.
