After the crash

The adjuster works for them. We stand with you.

The calls. The bills. The pain. An adjuster who sounds friendly but is paid to pay you less. From day one, we take that weight off your shoulders:

We handle the insurance company
Every call and every letter goes through us, not you.
We line up your medical care
Get treated now, even before your case settles.

Questions
What does it cost to hire Brumley Law Firm?

Nothing upfront, ever. We work on contingency: our fee is a percentage of what we recover for you, and if we don't win, you pay nothing. No retainer, no hourly billing, no surprise costs. Cost should never be the reason you don't reach out.

Do I actually have a case?

If you were injured and someone else caused the crash, even partly, you likely have a claim. The free case review exists to answer exactly this question: tell us what happened, and we'll tell you honestly whether you have a case and what it could be worth. No pressure, no obligation.

How long do I have to file a claim in Washington?

Washington generally gives you three years from the date of the accident to file a personal injury lawsuit. But waiting costs you: evidence disappears, witnesses forget, and insurance companies count on delay. Even if your accident was months ago, you likely still have time.

What if the accident was partly my fault?

You can still recover. Washington follows pure comparative negligence, which means your compensation is reduced by your percentage of fault, not eliminated. Even someone found 50% at fault can recover half their damages. Don't decide you have no case based on what an adjuster told you.

What if the other driver has no insurance, or drove off?

You may still have a strong claim. Your own policy's uninsured motorist coverage often applies. Washington requires insurers to offer it, and most drivers have it without realizing. It also applies to hit and run crashes where the driver is never found. We know how to locate every available source of compensation.

Do I need my own insurance to make a claim?

Your claim is against the at-fault driver's insurance, not yours, so your own coverage status doesn't stop you from recovering. If you do have coverage like PIP (personal injury protection), it can pay your medical bills right away while your case proceeds, regardless of fault. We'll sort out which policies apply during your free review.

I wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Does that ruin my case?

No, and this surprises people. Washington law specifically says failure to wear a seatbelt cannot be used as evidence of negligence against you in an injury claim. Don't let guilt, or an adjuster's suggestion, talk you out of a case you're legally entitled to bring.

How much is my case worth?

It depends on your medical bills (past and future), lost income, pain and suffering, and how the injuries change your daily life. That's exactly what the free case review tells you. After one conversation we can usually give you a realistic range based on cases like yours. One thing is almost always true: it's worth more than the insurance company's first offer.

How long will my case take?

Most car accident cases resolve in months, not years, and you don't wait until the end to get help, since medical care can be arranged from day one. Cases that go to litigation take longer, but that pressure is often what produces a fair offer. We'll give you an honest timeline for your specific situation at your review and keep you informed at every step.

What happens after I call or submit the form?

Our team is available 24/7, so you can reach out whenever it suits you. You get a free, confidential case review: we listen to what happened, tell you honestly whether you have a case, and explain your next steps. If we take your case, we handle everything from there: the insurance company, the paperwork, your medical care. Josh personally reviews every case we take, and you focus on getting better.
